How Amsterdam can you be? We introduce Mokum Collective to you: a group of designers with the city in their hearts and their souls, as the name suggests. It started small. It was Frederique - founder of lighting design brand Hart & Ruyt, and curator for Mokum Collective - who created a collective of young enthusiasts to represent Amsterdam united in one store.
It’s all in the mix: Skylights by the local handmade lamps from Hart & Ruyt, combined with the renovated industrial lighting by Blom & Blom, rainwear from Majem, greens from Sprinklr for promoting a more sustainable environment in the city, fashion by ConStyle and Iron & Stitch, and the interior foundation by Raw Materials and Loods5. Yes, it all fitted in one spot.
Mokum Collective strives to create a comfortable environment, a lust for the eye wherever you look, and a shopping experience that makes you want to stick around. Besides, the designers give you a sneak peek into the production process of lamps and patched garments, with their workspace right in the heart of the unit. Literally produced locally, right in the heart of Amsterdam.
