The Art of Imperfection - A collaboration between Iron & Stitch and artist Pey from SASHIKODENIM - revives the iconic Japanese aesthetics and presents them in a way that encourages new interpretations.
AIZOME (藍染 "Indigo Dye")
Inspired by Wabi-sabi (侘寂) - a concept in Japanese aesthetics centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection - we combined our knowledge of fashion, history, and sustainability to craft truly one-of-a-kind denim jackets.
RYŪJIN (龍神 "Dragon God")
Ensō is a hand-drawn circle created with one or two uninhibited brushstrokes to express a moment when the mind is free to let the body create.
HITOMI (瞳 "Pupil of the Eye")
Each jacket is a one-of-a-kind statement piece, showcasing Japanese culture combined with a modern-day twist on ancient embroidery techniques, creating a timeless style.
RŌNIN (浪人 "Masterless Samurai")
Inspired by late 17th-century Japanese art, the Be Real, Not Perfect patch contains graphics originating from the artwork “The White Monkey” by one of the last great masters of the Ukiyo-e (浮世絵) style of woodblock prints and painting, Utagawa Kuniyoshi.
